Free PACER Training Site Available

 Are you interested in learning how to access federal court recordsonline, or want to sharpen the record-searching skills you already have?A training site for the federal judiciary’s Public Access to CourtElectronic Records (PACER) service recently became available.

The site features data from real cases filed in the U.S. District Courtfor the Western District of New York in 2007. There’s no charge. Currentand future users of PACER can benefit from the training site.

The New York State Bar’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service is recruiting attorneys that can provide free telephone consultations to individuals affected by recent hurricane flooding. The need is for attorneys with insurance, landlord/tenant or FEMA appeals experience as well as those who can help with general practice matters.
