Will the revolution be televised? If you consider the arguments regarding California’s ban on same sex marriage, Proposition 8, to be in any way revolutionary, then the answer is yes.
A federal court of appeals has ruled that both C-Span and local news station KGO-TV may televise the arguments before the court. Oral arguments are scheduled to be heard December 6.
OpenOffice continues to grow and change, and this new version of the program is worth a look. The OpenOffice suite includes applications that allow users to make text documents, spreadsheets, diagrams, and databases. This latest version includes templates for professional writers, and export tool for functionality with Google Docs, and enhanced blog publishing. This version is compatible with computers running Mac OS X 10.4 and newer.

Thursday, December 2, 2010, the NDNY FCBA will hold their annual CLE, Meeting & Dinner at the Genesee Grande Hotel in Syracuse, New York.
The CLE program entitled, “Critical Updates – Current Issues Regarding Federal Court Practice & Procedure” will begin at 1:00 p.m. Following the CLE, we will hold the annual meeting, a complimentary cocktail hour and finally, our Annual Dinner.
We expect the full complement of our Northern District judiciary to be in attendance. This will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy each other’s company.
